Zeta Specialist Lighting appoints new MD

Zeta Specialist Lighting, the Bicester-based innovative developer and manufacturer of LED and solar powered lighting solutions, has appointed Adrian Dennis as Managing Director.

Adrian-DennisAdrian joined Zeta Specialist Lighting as Sales and Marketing Director 18 months ago, with a brief to establish and execute a sales and marketing strategy to raise the profile of the brand and accelerate sales growth. His appointment in November 2013, was a key part of the company’s strategic three-year plan targeting a five-fold increase in size in three years.

2014 saw the business record a 250% increase in turnover year on year and it kicked off 2015 with an order book for January alone that was 500% up on the previous year. Zeta is targeting 225% growth in 2015 and just three months in, is already 35% over this target.

Phil Shadbolt, The Zeta Group Chairman and CEO said: “Adrian’s vision and expertise has been instrumental in driving the business forward. We have established a firm foothold in a number of sectors such as sign making, commercial, outdoor advertising and street furniture and have been increasingly successful in winning new contracts to supply innovative, energy-saving, highly efficient LED and solar lighting solutions in these markets.

“As we enter phase two of the strategic plan, I am confident that under Adrian’s leadership as Managing Director, Zeta Specialist Lighting will continue to go from strength to strength.”

The past twelve months has seen Zeta invest £3.5 million to make substantial improvements to its Bicester head office, including building a new LED production facility, a commitment designed to accelerate new product development and business growth.

This investment supported the design and development of a number of new product innovations, recent launches include the SignLite range, a retro-fit LED lighting solution for road signage applications, and the ECOLUX SOLAR – the industry’s first LED trough lighting system that’s entirely powered by solar, which was developed jointly with Portland Lighting.

Commenting on his appointment Adrian said: “Last year saw us increase in size and turnover beyond our initial projections. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with the team, driving the business forward to achieve our future objectives for growth and hopefully exceeding our projected targets for 2015.”
